Consultation

After you’ve booked your session, during the creative consultation (either in person, Skype or on the phone), we’ll discuss the type of portrait you’re looking for, the moods you want to capture and how you imagine using your images.  We’ll discuss wardrobe, styling, what looks great on camera and how to prepare for your shoot.

Mood boards

A week after the consultation, we’ll review your brief and mood boards which will detail the set design, backdrops, wardrobe and looks we want to capture for your session.  This is a great way to ensure we’re on the same page, and get your ready for the shoot.

Portrait shoot

The day of the shoot, you’ll come to the studio in the morning and prepare to spend 1-2 hours with my professional hair and make-up artist getting ready,  We’ll ensure your wardrobe is hung, steamed and ready to go. We shoot for 1-2 hours with 3-5 wardrobe changes.  The hair and make-up artist stays on to ensure you look fresh throughout your shoot. Plenty of snacks and beverages on hand to make sure your energy stays high.

2 weeks after your shoot, we’ll review 20-30 edited images from your shoot in person.  I’ll walk you through the different printed options you have, from wall prints to folio boxes to digital only.  After you choose the image package, you’ll leave with your images on a specially packaged thumb drive. If you’ve ordered printed products, they will arrive 2-4 weeks later.
